Intern

May - August 2018 • Denver, CO

What I liked

Everyone in the office was very nice and there were a lot of opportunities to get to know everyone. The project the office was working on so it was a unique experience I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more of a program or thought as to what the interns would be doing. I didn’t have a point of contact/ identified mentor to receive projects from so there were many days where I had to keep myself entertained.

Advice

Be ready to work independently.

Process Intern

June 2017 • Conshohocken, PA

What I liked

All of the employees are eager to answer questions. You work on designing manufacturing plants for major pharmaceutical companies and Jacobs offers internships in a variety of positions-- from all kinds of engineering and architecture to business and sales. Besides the connections, money, and experience, the people are just really fun. Theres a bunch of company wide seasonal & super casual sports teams.

What I wish was different

Head of HR just really didnt like me for some reason and prevented me from going to existing plants that I was working on because all of the interns didnt get to go.

Advice

Make friends, play softball. Just keep asking for more work.
